“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:4
Our vision is to inspire children to experience their greatest potential as directed by God. Regular activities include: children’s classes on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening, Vacation Bible School, summer camps, drama programs, service opportunities, and social events.
We welcome new students at 2 years of age, or when they are potty trained. We teach simple Bible stories, songs, crafts, and a love for the word of God, church and each other. Parents are invited to stay with their youngsters until they transition and feel comfortable. We treasure the opportunity to give your child their first experience in a church class.
In our class we strive to instill a love for God, His Word and the Church in our children. Using props, visuals, crafts and songs, as well as one mischievous puppet named Freddy, we engage the children in fun and exciting ways as they learn about Jesus and His love, forming what we hope will be lifelong friendships with Him! We also recognize the need for young children to play, and incorporate games, puzzles, books and blocks into our classroom…we also serve a morning snack. Friends of Jesus is lead by master teacher of 63 years Joyce VanNess, who has been a friend of Jesus since she was a preschooler herself!

Best Friends Forever: Wednesday evening, after sharing a meal with our families, we gather to pray, learn and play. BFF is a place where children learn to have respect for the Bible and each other, to serve whenever they can or wherever they see a need. This class gives the children the opportunity to lead prayers, teach lessons, share concerns and support each other; to develop their natural gifts and talents. Recently, we have been working on memorizing Psalm 19, and learning about where we fit into God’s plan and creation.
